Summer in Buenos Aires is characterized by an intense movement. Even if Buenos Aires citizens take their holidays, the city still has several suggestions for those who stay but especially for those who want to tour around. Once again, the City Government organized a series of cultural events in different neighborhoods where visitors will be able to enjoy music, plays, poetry and films.
The Verano en la Ciudad Festival (Summer in the City Festival) is made up of six stages where people may attend different shows and performances for free.
In Mataderos Amphitheater, located in Lisandro de la Torre St and Direrctorio Av, there will be music show; in Palermo’s Rosedal, people may enjoy the drive-in national films; and in Parque Centenario Amphitheater, located in Caballito, visitors may allow themselves to be delighted by poetry, films and plays.
The biggest bet was made on the music category for which there will be three venues: Vuelta de Rocha for tango shows and Costanera Sur for folk, jazz and fusion music lovers. Finally, Parque Roca, located in the neighborhood of Villa Soldati, will offer concerts of different artists, such as Machu Catupecu, Tan Biónica, Los Pericos and Dread Mar I, among others.
The different and varied proposals that the City Government suggests this summer encourage to tour around Buenos Aires.
